WRESTLING NEWS ROUNDUP
Strange times eh? With promotions either shutting down, adjusting their live events, or forging ahead as normal- the wrestling landscape is in an interesting place. Lets take a look at some of the news stories making the rounds over the last week or so…
Warrior Pro Wrestling was slated to hold a press conference to announce their next set of shows two weeks ago before California announced their “Shelter in Place” guidelines. Since then the announcement has been repeatedly postponed. Sources say that is because owner Tank McDaniel is scrambling to come up with a contingency plan to still run shows. The promotion has announced a conference call with the media for this week to make an announcement, and in a curious twist Lucha POWER owner El Macho and Dragon Fire Japan owner Shintaro Ito are expected to be present as well…

Speaking of Lucha POWER, Lefty McDaniel is said to have suffered a torn labrum from his tag match against Gears of War down in Mexico last month. He is rehabbing in the Bay Area and it is unclear when he will return to Mexico to help run El Macho’s promotion.

Still on the subject of Lucha POWER, a recently unmasked El Macho seems to have eyes for a different Santana…

Rampage Hunter is in Alabama tonight to finally get his second crack at the PCP title. Due to travel restrictions its possible “The Belt Collector” could be hanging out in the Southeast for a bit, and rumor has it he may be looking to defend his Memorial Southeast Title soon as well…

The blood feud between Cogburn Ranch and the Jackson Hole Outlaws continues to be one of the most personal in all of professional wrestling. Sources tell us a Cowboy Johnston vs Red Masterson match is inevitable, but there has been no indication of when or where the match will take place. Looming over everything is Lone Star Champion Doc Wyatt, who has been unusually quiet as of late.

Rumor has it John Logan and Tank McDaniel have mended fences, and the Warrior Pro owner is expected to allow both he and Machine Gun Mayhem back now that their suspensions are over. The plan we are told as of now is for Tank to book Doc Wyatt vs John Logan in a number one contender’s match for Vic Baron’s heavyweight title.
