In a news week that has already seen the Senatorial Office power structure get challenged, another promotion head was directly challenged today. Speaking at a local press conference related to Wyatt Industries, Virgil Wyatt- father to Warrior Pro Wrestling’s former Heavyweight Champion Doc Wyatt- gave a scathing review of Tank McDaniel and his recent actions regarding the promotion’s title picture. Some may remember that Virgil is a former wrestler himself, and was also a former world champ in the late 70’s. Many more will recall that he is also a former promoter/owner of Championship Wrestling Federation for a brief time, choosing to sell the company for a tidy profit instead of competing with rival promotion WfoW.
Recently Virgil has kept out of wrestling, choosing to focus on the family business of oil and cattle ranching based out of Wyoming. At least until now. See below the statement Virgil gave to reporters earlier today.

There’s nother thing I’d like to bring up. Ma son Doc recently lost his championship belt out in California. I can’t recall a more crooked situation then the one brewin in Warrior Pro Wrasslin. To go to them certain lengths to take a title belt off another person… it aint right. It aint about business wit that owner. Bout nothin but personal grudges and past jealousies. I warned my son not to sign with Tank. But my boy is hard headed. Gets it from his daddy. Aint nothin we can do bout that at the moment. But what we can do, is right a wrong. Tmorrow mornin I’m headed out west, and it is my intention to negotiate a… “fair restitution” for what happened. Otherwise, we may have to take it nother way...
