A message from Warrior Pro owner Tank McDaniel was posted on WPW.com this evening…
Due to the controversial ending in the main event of Battle Lines, I have decided that an immediate rematch is required. With that said, on January 4th 2019, Warrior Pro Wrestling will hold a special LIVE edition of Warrior Grounds, where the main event will be Doc Wyatt vs Rampage Hunter for the Heavyweight Championship. The reality is the match at Battle Lines should have continued with a new referee. Hell, what Doc did to that official warrants suspension. But I can blame no one but myself, I was not in the arena due to my injuries and proper instruction was not given to officials in my stead. So, to rectify that, I will be the officiating the main event and ensuring a proper winner is identified.
Also, I am happy to announce that in January Warrior Pro will hold a tournament to crown its first Tag Team Champion. On top of showcasing tag teams from within the promotion, the tournament will also feature teams from throughout the Alliance. The full roster of teams will be announced at a later date, but at the Warrior Grounds special event- two of those teams will be showcased.

Doc Wyatt was a guest on a local radio show and gave his thoughts on a number of topics, including his upcoming match. Here are some highlights of the interview:
On his thoughts of a third fight with Rampage Hunter:
I honestly think the whole thing is ridiculous. I gotta say, that month where Tank wasn’t around because his old broken ass couldn’t get out of bed, it was the best 30 days of my time in Warrior Pro. I beat Kevin once. He couldn’t beat me in the rematch. It isn’t my fault the match was ruled a draw. It isn’t my fault a new referee wasn’t provided. If Hunter is mad at anyone, be mad at Tank- the man has no idea how to run a company. But fine, if Hunter wants to go again, I’ll oblige him. Then lets fight again next month. Lets just turn Warrior Pro into “The Federation of Doc beating up Kevin Hunter.” I’m sure we’ll sell out every night.
On John Logan earning a title fight:
The real story here is what a chump Adrien Lawton is. I really liked him. I think we both have the same impression of this company and its talent. But then the day comes to kick out that over pushed sack of potatoes and he couldn’t do it. He proved that AAW is where he belongs. Listen I already beat Logan. This company loves sending me people I’ve already beat. So I’ll do what Lawton couldn’t. I’ll beat Rampage again. Then I’ll beat Logan again. Then maybe I’ll hop over to Jersey and beat Lawton just for kicks, who knows.
On his relationship with Brick:
We’re fine. We’ve always been fine. The fact is we aren’t friends. We’re business partners, and so that dynamic is going to lead to disagreements from time to time. But we have mutual interests. We have common goals, and as long as our interests align, and the money is right, we will continue our joint venture. In fact, we plan on expanding our partnership. At Warrior Grounds #6, we’ll be announcing our newest “partner.”
On who he would most like to defend the title against:
Anyone. I am the only champion this company has ever had, and my plan is to keep it that way. But how often will Tank keep sending me the same losers? Maybe it’s time we start looking outside for fresh meat. There’s a promotion down in Mexico we have a deal with. There is a Texas promotion I’ve been keeping an eye on. And there are a few prominent promotions north of us. Might be worth checking out, you know, once I leave Logan and Hunter in the trash…

Welcome to the RUMOR MILL brought to you by the Wrestling Monitor, your hub for all the latest news and updates from the world of pro wrestling. Let’s get straight into the news for the month…
Since the partnership between Lucha POWER and Warrior Pro Wrestling was announced, many have questioned when we might hear more details on a Lucha POWER show. There is lots of noise that February will be that first show. Lucha POWER has a venue booked in Mexico city for that month, and recent house shows suggest they are building major angles for that date. Expect the main event to be for the currently vacant Lucha POWER belt, as well as matches featuring outside talent.
Speaking of Lucha POWER, Pantero Negro Jr. is expected to be at the live Warrior Grounds show to respond to Lefty McDaniel’s challenge from Battle Lines.
Vic Baron vs Roy Carter last month was one of the best matches in the young promotion's history, but it wasn’t without some controversy. Rumors persist that right before the match Vic received a letter, and while the contents remain a mystery, Vic seemed extremely disturbed before heading to the ring. This situation is worth keeping an eye on…
Luke Casey, who’s showing in the Star of the Jar tournament impressed many both inside and outside Warrior Pro, and there is an expectation that his call up to the main roster is imminent. Same with “Castillo” who is currently working on being repackaged with a long term gimmick. Both men won their prelim match at Battle Lines, and both have bright outlooks for 2019.
Tanks McDaniel’s ribs, while progressing, are not fully healed and he has not been cleared to wrestle. He has however received a green light to resume his back stage duties, as well as officiate matches. “Lanky” Lefty McDaniel has also not been cleared, though he is on track to be by early January.

A reminder that we are a little over a week from a special LIVE edition Warrior Grounds. The show should be packed, including a trilogy title fight and a preview of next months tag team tournament.
The show will take place January 4th at 4pm PT from the historic Pioneer Hall. The card:
“Perfection” Jack Gold vs Lucha La Barba Tag Team Tournament Preview: The Flyboys (SHTCW:a) vs Roland Chang Trio (TIPWF) John Logan & Vic “The Technician” Baron vs Roy Carter & Mystery Partner Heavyweight Championship Match: Doc Wyatt vs Rampage Hunter
A couple promos have been posted on WPW.com:
Roy Carter
When I saw The Baron Clan was entering the tag tournament, I immediately grabbed a spot. There is no fucking way Vic Baron and his geriatric old man are winning a tag tournament, not if I have anything to say about it. So I’ve found a partner. I’ll show him off on January 4th, when we beat up Vic and John Logan. Then we’ll grab those belts. Then I’ll have one more thing to shove in that stupid families face. Its going to be a good time.
“Perfection” Jack Gold
The last time I was on a Warrior Pro show, Machine Gun Mayhem beat me in a way I’ve never been beat before. I was helpless. I honestly didn’t know what was next for me. Then this joke of a wrestler. This… mascot for idiots- Lucha La Barba- walks into Battle Lines and beats that loser Jimmy Hawkins in 2 minutes. It was… well it was perfection. And that cannot happen. The pinnacle of perfection is staring at you right now. So next week, I seek redemption. I seek to right a wrong. Lucha La Barba- thank you for waking me up. Tune in on January 4th, you’ll witness the return to PERFECTION.
Roland Chang Senior: You see these two men here? This is my son. This is my grandson. They come from my lineage, which means they are tougher than an overcooked t-bone, nastier than a pissed off possum, as Texan as Bob Wills, born and bred into this sport. And they're gearing up to face the Flyboys.
Roland Chang Junior: That's damn right! We're here to kick ass and kick some more ass! Me and my son ain't gonna lay down for nobody! We're mad and bad as we can be, and we're not losing to some pretty boy jumping bean high flyers! You hear me? We're not gonna give you nuthin! And if I lock in the Wrangler Lock, I'm not just gonna put my hands together and make a mean face, I'm gonna lock in one shoulder, then I wrench in the other shoulder, then I push down like I'm trying to take a steel pipe and push it into a u-shape, but instead of a pipe...that's gonna be your friggin' neck! You hear me, Flyboys? That's gonna be your friggin' necks! Your necks! Turkey necks!
Chang Senior: What my son's tryin' to tell you, is that he doesn't know how to take it easy. On you, or anyone.
Chang Junior: Hey, Three, you gonna say your piece, or what?
Chang Senior: Roland Chang the Third is the future of the TIPWF, a blue chip athlete. He learned from...
Chang Junior: He ain't learned a damn thing if he can't open his yap for himself! Speak, boy!
Roland Chang III: Uh...I'm going to wrestle against you guys, and I'm going to do what I have to do to win.
Chang Junior: Are you serious? Are you freakin' serious? That's all you have to say? Tell them what you're gonna do out there! How you're going to eradicate the Flyboys! Make them hurt, make them pay, make them scream for their pathetic lives! Send them to the freakin' local medical facility! Aw hell, to the damn hospital, screw political correctness, I say what I damn well please, how I damn well please! So, tell 'em boy! Tell 'em what they got to look forward to! Come on!
Chang III: Um, I have a pretty good powerbomb, and I'm not afraid to use it.
Chang Senior: There you go. The Roland Chang Trio's coming for you, and I'm ready to watch these two go to town. Be ready to fight, or be ready to lose, Flyboys.

We are days away from a very special LIVE Warrior Grounds, which also acts as the year end show for the young promotion. In addition to a Heavyweight Title fight and a couple of tag team showcases, Lucha POWER’s own Pantero Negro Jr will be on hand to respond to “Lanky” Lefty’s challenge, and Doc Wyatt has promised an announcement to the crowd on hand.
Warrior Grounds #6 will be broadcast LIVE on Twitch at 4pm PT this Friday January 4th.
The scheduled card:
“Perfection” Jack Gold vs Lucha La Barba Lucha La Barba had one of the most impressive debuts in the promotion’s history, catching Jimmy Hawkins off guard with a rollup a mere 3 minutes into their match. Now he takes on a returning Jack Gold, who hopes to shake off a brutal loss to Machine Gun Mayhem back at High Noon and get back to his “perfect” ways.
Tag Team Tournament Preview: The Flyboys (SHTCW:a) vs Roland Chang Trio (TIPWF) We are less than a week away from the announcement of the Warrior Pro tag team tournament. This match should be an excellent preview of what is to come, with two exciting guest teams debuting for the Warrior Pro crowd. The Changs will bring their brutal, physical style over from Texas against the high flying Flyboys courtesy of Super HyperTurbo. John Logan & Vic “The Technician” Baron (w/Austin Baron) vs Roy Carter & Mystery Partner A lot of different stories surrounding this match-up. Who will be Roy Carter’s mystery partner? Can the Baron’s finally get a measure of payback over Carter? Can Vic stay focused given the cloud of Machine Gun Mayhem floating over him? Given the star power involved this should be a great match, and should be a good indication of where all these men are headed going into the new year.
Heavyweight Championship Match:“Gentleman” Doc Wyatt vs Rampage Hunter (guest referee Tank McDaniel) The conclusion of the trilogy. Doc Wyatt controlled the first match, and Rampage seemed to have the upper hand in the rematch, but Doc’s chair shot to the ref prevented a clear winner from presenting itself. We’ve been guaranteed a winner this time by Tank McDaniel, and given the animosity that has built up, one would expect this to be an instant classic.
Final Promos:
Doc Wyatt
One hundred and fifty three days. Walking into Pioneer Hall, a shit hole this company calls a wrestling venue, I will have held the Warrior Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship for over one hundred and fifty days. I will be the only person this shit hole company has ever called champion. I have showed up every month and defended this belt. I have fought whoever Tank McDaniel, a shit hole this company calls an owner, has put in front of me. Every single time I have left with the belt I walked in with. And yet the people still boo. And yet, this company keeps trying to take away the only thing keeping this shit hole promotion afloat- me as your champion. Fine. Boo me. Keep stacking the odds against me. Put Tank as the ref. Do whatever you want. But there is a reason I have stayed champion for the last 6 months. And there is a reason I will walk out of the building again as champion.
Rampage- you go ahead and think things are going to be different. That maybe this time you wont have your head caved in by my superman punch. Or you wont black out from my Black Gold cutter. Or your leg wont break when I put on the figure 4. Convince yourself having Tank as the referee will change things. Your fairy tale sounds lovely. Dream all you want, but the belt is coming home with me.
Rampage Hunter
Man, I’m tired of talking bout Doc Wyatt. Tired of fighting Doc Wyatt. Rampage and Doc been fighting for three straight months. We been talking for three months. Bout how Rampage better than Doc. Doc better than Rampage. Tired of it. So we done with that now. This aint a ‘big match’ anymore. This gonna be Rampage walking into that ring, beatin Doc Wyatt’s ass, and walkin out with my belt. No “feelin out.” No “testin range.” Ima go in and rag doll that suit wearin punk until he don’t know the day of the week. Then he’s getting a Lights Out powerbomb and we all go home happy. So tired of Doc Wyatt. Friday, Rampage movin on. Movin on with a new belt round my waist.

During a presser for Friday's Warrior Grounds show, Tank McDaniel addressed a rumor that Warrior Pro and AAW had completed a deal for a talent exchange...
Yes, the rumor is true- we will be continuing a business relationship with AAW. While I don't appreciate The Starboys and Adrien Lawton invading my shows, I can't deny what it did for business. Last week, the Belmonte's and I came to an agreement- Jimmy Hawkins will be a regular participant for AAW, and in return Warrior Pro will be getting Yoshi Tayaki. We feel this is a good way for Jimmy to get some experience and increased exposure, and I've quietly been a fan of Tayaki for a little while now. We've also had discussions about other joint ventures, but with the ownership over there a bit...murky... we'll have to see, but don't be surprised to see some AAW talent down the road.
Except Adrien Lawton. Because seriously, fuck that guy.

The first show of 2019 brought closure to 2018, and gave a lot to look forward to in the year ahead. Scroll down for a full recap of the historic LIVE Warrior Grounds #6, including all the matches, post match angles, and comments from both participants of the main event.
PreShow Match: Young Guns (Luke Casey and Danny Angelo) vs The Massholes
Both of these hot new prospects continued to make a name for themselves with an impressive performance over the veteran tag team. The Massholes seemed to have the advantage early, cutting off the ring and hitting big move after big move for close pinfalls. But the rooks kept coming, and eventually a double armed tiger driver from the big man Angelo scored the victory for the “Young Guns.”
This… was incredible. Just a few weeks removed from rolling up Jimmy Hawkins in just over 3 minutes, La Barba scored ANOTHER flash pin on the unsuspecting Jack Gold- this time in just over 2 minutes. The crowd again went insane as the “Lucha Gringo” seems to becoming a quick fan favorite among the Warrior Pro crowd.
Winner: Lucha La Barba Rating: **
Doc, flanked by Brick, is heads to the ring to make his announcement...
Tag Team Tournament Preview: The Flyboys (SHTCW:a) vs Roland Chang Trio (TIPWF)
If this is what we have to look forward to in the as yet to be announced tag team tournament, then we are all in for a treat. Two guest teams from outside promotions went all out in this one, as both teams slugged it out from the opening bell. Twice we saw the Roland Chang Trio dump the Flyboys outside with apron powerbombs, and multiple times we saw all four men brawling at once. Unfortunately it was Roland Change III, the promising younger Chang, that fell victim to a late falcon arrow that would seal the deal for The Flyboys.
Winner: The Flyboys Rating: ***
John Logan & Vic “The Technician” Baron vs Roy Carter
Machine Gun Mayhem continued his weird obsession with Vic Baron. Baron, who pinned Machine Gun back at NIGHTMARE in October, has been harassed by MGM ever since. During entrances, a message from MGM flashed on camera wishing Vic “Good Luck.” As we learned earlier in the night, Roy Carter has signed on with Doc Wyatt, and it was Brick who turned out to be his mystery opponent. A lot of history between these four men, and the action illustrated that. Early attempts by Vic and Logan to double team Brick and take the big man out proved unsuccessful, and before long the match squared off Vic Baron and Roy Carter in a rematch from last month where Roy won via a Game Over piledriver. On this night, Baron would get a measure of revenge- reversing Carter late in the match and choking him out.
After the match, Carter began screaming at the ref that he did NOT tap and that the match was called early.
Winner: John Logan & Vic Baron Rating: ***
Lanky McDaniel and Pantero Negro Jr. head to the ring...
Heavyweight Championship Match: “Gentleman” Doc Wyatt (Champion) vs Rampage Hunter (Special Guest Referee Tank McDaniel)
Perhaps the most hyped championship bought in the history of the promotion. After a controversial “No Contest” at Battle Lines, both men came in with something to prove. But it was Rampage Hunter who seemed the most determined. Both men went straight at it from the jump, but Rampage used his size and strength to his advantage, more so than the previous two meetings. Doc was able to slip out of an early Lights Out powerbomb, and avoid a spear, but he could not get any offense of his own in. Eventually, Rampage would hit a powerbomb, into a running lariat, into a spear for an extremely impressive victory.
Rampage will now face John Logan at the next Warrior Pro show.
Winner: AAAAND NEW CHAMPION Rampage Hunter Rating: ***
(flanked by Brick) Fucking bullshit. Did you see that fast count? Did you see it? Unbelievable. Un. FUCKING. Believable. You are all witnesses to that old fat man stealing my title from me. This isn’t over. Not by a long fucking shot. Did you see what happened in the tag match? They just end the match while Roy is in a hold? Gonna be HELL to pay. I guarantee you that. Print that. Fuck you Tank. Print that too.
This truly man is a dream come true. Been tellin people for weeks that my path is to this belt. Rampage is a champion. He THE Champion. Aint no one takin this belt from me. Not Doc Wyatt. Not John Logan. Nobody. Got me a looong future with this belt. You all better get use to it. Sweet feelin man, I dont know what else to say. John Logan in trouble. He in all kinds of trouble. Last time we fought he got his ass whooped, so I don’t know why it gonna be any different. Ha, man this is sweet.
