With the G2 Tournament in the rear view mirror, there is a fair amount of news to get caught up on in the world of professional wrestling. Here is the latest...
Warrior Pro Wrestling announced that Tank McDaniel will be hosting a virtual press conference this Monday to announce the date of Warriorversary II and give details on the card, plus give a bit of a state of the union on future direction for the company.
Sepaking of Warriorversary, there are lots of rumors circulating about the card. Already confirmed are three title matches, with the main event a World Heavyweight match of Vic Baron vs Machine Gun Mayhem. Also rumored but yet to be confirmed are Doc vs Red for the IC title, Lefty vs Super Bad Ass, El Macho vs Felix Santana Jr, and Tank himself returning to the ring for the first time in a year.
Red Masterson has kept busy since the G2 Finals, putting on a show stealer of a match at the last Office event, KO-ing The Everyman. With rumors swirling around a match with fellow Outlaw Doc Wyatt, Red's focus seemed to be on a different budding rivalry...
Roy Carter may have sat out the G2 Tournament this year, but he's been staying active, impressing in CWC by becoming the promotions open weight champion before suffering a vicious loss to Mr Muay Thai. Warrior Pro officials have stated that the submission artist will take a little time off but isn't expected to miss any upcoming dates.
Speaking of injuries, one of the big stories that came out of the G2 Finals was Vic Baron being stretchered out after suffering a vicious slam from the Bay Ballerz. While Vic has stated he is fine on social media, multiple sources state he has not been medically cleared by Warrior Pro's medical team yet. With both a super fight against Cowboy Johnston at CAWF's Revolution III PPV and a title fight at Warriorversary II coming up, there will be a lot of attention being paid to Tank's injury report during Monday's call...
